Hey Speedsatya,

Most old-gen diesel cars have this including my Jeep, Sierras and Sumos. It is used for adjusting the idling rpm speed. I have never needed to use it though.

Correct me if im wrong, but doesnt the choke actually increase the fuel in the air fuel mix, rather than just opening the throttle more (ie like the idle knob in question).

yup it actually blocks the air to make it rich, ie more fuel to air

ANyone knows how much power the tavera would produce without the Turbo,
the GM guys told me that it would be close to 70 ,and with the TUrbo , it has approx 10 hp more
Also at what rpm does the Turbo kick in ?

I am Happy with Tavera. I purchased the vehicle few months back and I have traveled more then 10,000 Km without any problem.....Touchwood.

I have been to Rohtang Pass (Manali), mussorie and many other places without any problem.
GM have also improved in Service. They keep calling to know the performance of the vehicle.

I agree with the bad interiors but if you go with performance......I give 10/10 to the vehicle.
