What a wonderful feeling it is to go and get yourself a new car !!!

Got my panther black ikon Flair this sunday ... and haven't stopped grinning since.

The owner's manual is not too helpful about what limits to stick to while running it in ... any suggestions from team-bhpians would be welcome !!

(also got 6-spoke aura alloys as a last minute decision !!)

Way to go there bobby!

The Flair is a great car for the price and looks awesome in black. 6 spoke wheels, black ride...hmmm, do we have another pimp daddy in the making to keep Rudra company!

Pics are always welcome Bobby.

While running in, just be careful about not revving it too high for the first 2000 odd km. Also keep an eye on the oil level as at times new cars drink a bit of oil while running in.

Enjoy...

Thanks Rtech ... what exactly do you mean by 'too high' ... I've been keeping it well within 2500 rpm till now ... but I think that might be a little low ...

pics will be posted soon

Well, i'm not sure what the redline is on the flair (6,000 rpm??)but try and keep it under 4,000 rpm.

You kidding? 4000 rpm is way too much for a virgin engine. Take it smooth, start with a 2500 rpm limit for the first couple of hundred kms...and then gradually increase it by a 100 rpm each time. Typically you should spread out the rpm limit such that you are high revving only by 2000+ kms.

And yes, keep varying the speeds. Expressway kind of running in is not recommended.
