I love the looks of that Mondeo thing. The built quality etc etc.
But personally,Vectra has a little of that advantage in my books.Driven both the cars and loved the Vectra.
Camry would be my third choice.Dont like the looks of that car much.
So its Vectra for me.

the Mondeo is an exciting car to drive and looks hot!
i've tried the 4-cyl & v6 Camry (both auto) and i was impressed by both as regards power delivery, build quality, handling!
can't comment on the Vectra as i haven't driven it.

i'm not a Honda fan. i think Honda's are overrated - especially in India (if not worldwide).
i don't mean that they're bad cars, just that they don't excite me - excellent mileage though - which the others can't beat and Accord interiors are pretty chic.
i hate the City though - all of it - new or old, vtec or not.

The Mondeo !!!

The Mondeo reliability issues are a bit overblown - there have been electrical glitches but mechanicaly they are pretty strong. Parts are expensive from the dealers over here but if you are creative and source them from the UK, it would be cheaper.

Vectra's - can't speak for the new ones but my cousin bought 3 of them for his sales team and also bought a few Audi's A4's Passats and Golfs for the managers. The Vectra's have been money pits whereas the german cars though expensive to serrvice are no problem. Next time around he is only going to offer VW/Audis to the team.

U bet, but, there's no point talkin about it. He said he hated them, he didn't say they were bad cars. That i can accept.

The Mondeo and Camry are surely overpriced and overated. They came with a bang but now, nobody wants them. Vectra was never in the competition.

The Accord doesn't excite me too, the Vtec does that job better, but the Accord is without doubt, the best offering in it's segment.

well say how about comparing 2001 year accords vs mondeo.
that would be intresting
but u guys have to agree
most of the mondeo owners worldwide just love this car....
hopefully the mondeo will be localised and available as a hatchback and a saloon and the st220 version...
this will really help and the prices and provide good competition
oh yeah and along with the old interior, give a more luxurious interior as an option atleast

I drive a 2002 Camry V6 SE (in phoenix)...Love this car

...For the comfort, mileage & looks good too.
...Against On the flip side handling beyond 80 Miles I feel a viberation in steering (I woundn't expect that on a Camry...but i did)

Mondeo would be next to camry
...love this car for its styling and precision handling
...flip side --> please read the advantage for CAMRY

Vectra ...Never tasted this car...but still...
...love this car for its looks alone.
...IMO Nothing else is good about this car (atleast compared to others)
