If you mean the CRDi (and thats the only improvement worth mentioning in the Safari), it would be atleast 12 months away from delivery.

The Safari like GTO said is slated to be launched next year with the 3.0 litre CRDi engine. Tata claims to launch it next year but as usual they might delay it and that will work against the car. Tata will make the same mistake again as they did with the Sierra . Instead of launching the Sierra with 4wd in the first place, they gave it 4wd when the Sierra reached the end of its production life. Wouldnt be surprised if the Safari suffered a similar fate.

Bottom line: TATA - Brilliant concepts but bad execution
