Default Now, car mileage 'officially' verified

I guess its out, there was a ARAI mileage Test results are out.

The data has been released.
Expectedly, Tata's Nano is the most fuel-efficient, giving 23.6 km to a litre of petrol.
Next comes Fiat 500, which runs on diesel; it gives 22 km for each litre.
Next to Nano in petrol is Maruti Suzuki's A-Star. It runs 19.6 km on a litre.

Maruti Suzuki was the first company to display ARAI-certified mileage figures for its models, from January 1

Maruti 800 - 16.1 kmpl
Alto's - 18.1 kmpl
Honda City and Hyundai Accent - 16.1-16.5 kmpl
Maruti Swift Dzire - 15.9 kmpl
Hyundai Verna (D) - 21.9 kmpl
Honda Civic - 15.5 kmpl
Skoda Octavia - 21.39kmpl
There is a bunch more, read about it in Rediff.

Average shown above, especially, Accent, Civic & City is not possible.

By the way, the true average of any car is not possible to calculate in India, because hereno pump is giving exact quantity of fuel.
