These pictures are apparently of a Hyundai Atos. Does that mean that Hyundai India wil lbring it out to stand against The New Zen?

WOW!!! Man. Nice find.

Seems MR Wagon A.K.A new Zen wil have competition from the word go.
This will come with a CRDI engine too, I assume.

A couple of things that I would like to add is that:

1. The pictures of the prototype in not in India so I have no idea when will it come to India.

2. There is some doubt over the pictures bring of the new Kia Picanto but my research suggests that the pictures are much more likely to be of the Hyundai Atos.

I have seen one on my way to Chennai 2 months back. This too was camouflaged and was driving behind a camouflaged Verna. I was then wondering why were they camouflaging Getz/Santro.

There was a piece of news sometime back on CNBC mentioning that Hyundai is also looking at introducing another hatchback between the Getz and the Santro which would be slightly bigger than the Santro. Hence my guess would be that if that ahppens, from a pricing perspective, Hyundai would have to cut prices of the Santro to make room for this new car.

Good Strategy I would say.

Ok this is gr8 news ...!! the car looks well ...more rounded and the dashboard has a futuristic look in the last pic. This will definatly go well with the propective customers

Along with the Verna launch in Kochi today, the dudes who did the launch said that a new Santro is on the way (within 2 years). Was mentioned in New Indian Express & THE HINDU.

...it looks like a Kia Picanto. True, it is sold in some countries thru Hyundai. But its a Kia product originally. You can see one similarity atleast when you look closely, the rear window going up a bit, just like the camoufleged car. May be I am wrong!

Thats a nice looking car. Not awkward or ungainly at all unlike other Hyundai new releases. Front end looks like that of a bigger car - Civic, rear tailgate and greenhouse similar to Indica's.

But very nice effect overall
