Zen was a hit & Maruti didn't want to lose the name. Last thing they will do is call any of their cars as Baleno

Ya, they selected a better car for inspiration this time

I disagree with someone that the Embera looks bad compared to the Sonata. I feel it is a great revamp on the looks department.

Cars which i feel were ruined by redesign are:

New Scorpio - The old one looked quite good, as compared to the new one.
Bolero - The old one looked rugged, the new one is a damp squib in terms of looks.
CRV - Already known.
Wagon R - The new look is disgusting. Prefer the looks of the previous version.

Torqy, didnt mean that to be insulting in any way.
Just that i feel the older one looked way better.

Scorpio - I think older one looked much better. I don't like new tail lamps....way too high. Old Scoripo was an SUV to die for!

Indigo is a redesign of what? There is hardly any difference in shape between the new Indigo and old Indigo, except for the lamps.
first off - theres not much of a difference between re-design & an altogether new design. If the new car model carries the same name as the older one, then it is a redesign - no arguements to that..!!

..a classic case of "design going overboard" but still nowhere near Zen Classic!

Hyundai Atos (Santro) >>> i10.
Since Santro is the bread & butter of Hyundai, they can't let go of Santro. So both Santro & i10 stay.

Note: Accent also stayed when Verna entered.

Many here feel the new CRV is a dud. But I find it a cracker, like on the lines of Porsche Cayenne.

Cracker, all right. Only difference is that i feel the cracker burst open splitting the front area into seperate parts!

Zen classic is a classic example of how one could ruin a car's looks. It was a terrible effort that failed miserably.

No wonder Cayenne is one of the ugliest looking SUVs. This is a case of trying to incorporate the "porsche" look in an SUV.

I like Volvo buses...but i would hate my car if it looked like one.

Angry

I think the current versions of these vehicles look worse than their earlier versions:

1. Honda Accord
2. Honda CRV
3. Mahindra Scorpio
4. Maruti Wagon R
5. Chevrolet Optra
6. Maruti 800

This is only my opinion and I probably could be wrong.
