there is a DC design's RS. 25lakh sports car, called the "Sports S" . frankly looks better than a lamborghini and hits 0-100kmph in around 3.5 seconds... will produce only 300units a year...

honestly its "mind blowing" and cheap!!!!

Sanjay Dutt was at the DC stall to unveil the car! Among the other MUST SEE cars is the Q7 S-Line edition and the ATCC M3 GTR

Default Quick take on Auto Expo

Folks, here is a quick run down of what I saw at the Auto Expo:

Honda: The Civic Hybrid cutaway model is interesting. The car looks the same from the outside other than the back lights which I thought were a little different from what sells here. More jewel like reflectors, I thought. At the front there is a plastic cover over the engine so you can see what the IMA system looks like.

Wasn't Sam Kapasi mentioning something about a tie-up between JBL and an automaker? Well, the Honda pavillion had posters saying "JBL rides with Honda"

Hyundai: some nice concepts but otherwise quite dull. I liked the overall looks of the Santa Fe SUV. My two bits: If I had to choose between the Santa Fe and Chevy Captiva, I would choose the former. Looks better.

GM: I didnt like the looks of the Captiva, especially from the back. Otherwise it was well built on the inside. Everything had a solid quality feel to it. The Cadillac CTS and Hummer H3 were other star attractions at GM.

VW: Saw the Jetta. Nice solid construction. Inside reeks of quality. However, didn't think much of the interior space. I also can't figure where they will position that car. The Laura range stretches from 15-18L. Passat starts at about 22L - where will the Jetta come. From the way it looked and felt it seems a cut above the Corolla and Civic.
Nice mini busses at the VW pavillion.

Suzuki: Saw the Splash. was surprised by its size. I think its bigger than the Swift. The MUL guy standing next to it said it has a similar wheelbase.
Wasn't impressed by the Concept A-Star - one of the cars that looks better in pictures than in the flesh.

Fiat: The Linea is a long car. Seemed Corolla size to me. I was under the impression it would compete with the City. It was another car that I felt looks better in the pictures than in the flesh. Maybe it was the color of the car and the height of the display but it just did not look as sexy.
The Bravo is a nice, large, sexy hatchback.

I also saw the Tata nano and was driven the Scorpio Hybrid AT but those reviews are in their respective threads.
BTW Scoop! - Mahindra fellows told me the regular Scorpio Hawk will be launched with the six-speed AT box soon.

Was the Cadillac CTS a RHD model?

Considering the fantastic beauty next to which the Linea was parked, the Linea would not look good at all.

Busa, I couldn't tell if the CTS or H3 were right-hand drive. they both had dark windows.
As far as the Linea goes - I assure you I really tried to concentrate on the car!
Of course, she thought I was looking at her. So for both our sakes I moved to the other side and really looked at the car!
