Palio - of course. The best of the range- has all it takes for cult status.

Having driven all the cars mentioned initially by Himanshu , my vote goes where my money is , its the BALENO.

Have driven a colleagues v-tec and hell yeah its fast. Still dint appeal to me as much as the baleno did.

I have had the chance to drive an OHC VTEC for a while now. The car is a dream and with the kind of competition it has had over the years, it no doubt is a supremely good candidate for great cult status. Even though the engine is mind blowing, the high speed manners of my car leave a lot to be desired.

I think Baleno is the deserving winner with equal honors to the OHC Vtec according to me with Zen coming a close second

OHC VTEC... besides being brilliant... the FTD quotient is better even when i car compare my dad's (1L+ kms done) 2001 OHC VTEC to the NHC VTEC which i TD a few weeks ago.

Default Palio As A Cult Car

While others may disagree, I have firm reason to see the palio as a cult car, Going by definition of cult, (fanatics devoted blindly to their faith and Cause)
A maruti owner will shift to Hyundai, Hyundai to Skoda, Skoda to Merc, mayb merc to BMW,

But for a Palio lover, his Palio will remain his love, his valentine
That is what I feel for my Beauty.............What say Palio Lovers

Default It Is Baleno

The winner is ( from my point of view) SUZUKI BALENO.
We are lucky few in this country to own a car that was horribly underrated, but one drive is sufficient to prove critics wrong. Its a great car that was all rounder with capacity to entertain both, MEN and BOYS.
No other car was such an excellent allrounder. Lancer was quite capable as an allrounder, but the engine was not as good as Suzuki.

So my list is
1) SUZUKI BALENO( 1.6 LTR, G16 ENGINE)
2) ESTEEM ( 1.3LTR, 85BHP, G13 ENGINE)
3) ZEN (1.0LTR, 60BHP, G10 ENGINE)

All the above three cars would be sorely missed by all those who enjoyed driving!

It is a difficult question to answer....when I bought my Baleno, the vTec was discontinued...If I had owned, maybe I would have voted for it..
If the fiat reliability and service was good, I would have voted for the Palio..

However, in terms of all round performance....and value for money, very difficult to beat the baleno...have done 44k in the car and still no rattles anywhere!! the door closes with the same thunk as it was new...and apart from a bit hardened suspension..the engine still pulls..and still gives me a smile on my face everytime I drive the car
