well, thats the attitude fiat has shown so far.

Although I hope they are really doing something good to the Palio MultiJet since they are taking sooooo much time to launch it. I wanna TD it before deciding between that and the Swift VDi.

From a reliable source, I heard that Palio 1.3 MJD is coming up in March 2nd week and the Linea during this August.

i suppose thats the LINEA SEDAN that was shown in the autoexpo...
that car looked really neat and well proportioned... any idea about specs and pricing?

how i wish i was in the market for a new car !!!

but im "stuck" with my OHC

Yep, thatz the same Linea showcased in AutoExpo.

Not sure about the specs, maybe 1.3 MJD 90 BHP.....
Pricing will be around 7 - 9 lacs.

OHC, no issues, it has good resale value, so you can trade in for the Linea!

If Linea is launched with a 1.3L which it most probably will, then MSIL is one step ahead with the 1.9L DDIS SX4

slightly OT but, thats the first i've heard of a 1.9L DDIS SX4. Like they are planning with the Swift Dezire, i thought they would just put the 1.3L DDIS in the diesel SX4 (whenever it does come out)

Pal, thatz just a wishlist, if at all 1.9 MJD comes to India, it will be first on a Fiat car!

Similar things were said about the 1.3 version too. But then FiAT decided to doze off while others laughed to the bank. Hope this doesn't continue for long.

Hope there will be ABS and Airbags at least in the high end version

There has been some official confirmation earlier from FIAT that "High capacity" MJD engines will be reserved for FIAT and its brands. I dont know whether 1.9 MJD includes in that.

I am not sure about such a reservation on the 1.9MJD. I think it is offered as an option on the Suzuki grandvitara, in European markets. Not too sure, though.
