I beleive this will be the worthy competitor to Swift since Getz diesel has shattered our dreams and expecttations.

even at that price it would be about 5+ in bangalore and if they launch it with airbags + abs + defogger + 15" alloys + possibly a better fiat service section within TATAs service centres, then it means swift is going to face the heat.

You will see the the Getz itself will overtake the Swift in some time, atleast the performance oriented people will buy it.

@Payam - I don't think the Palio comes with all these goodies. GeekSrik was just mentioning that if it did come with all those goodies at an attractive price, it could kill the Swift.

The 1.3L MJD will have an upper hand over the existing 1.6L Stile, in the fact that it's a diesel vehicle. IF it's going to be priced as much as the 1.6L Stile(which I think it will) and delivers lesser horses, wouldn't the 1.6 still be a better buy?

Certainly not, the 1.6 doesnot deliver in a area where the 1.3L does and thats FE. In India even if the car has no horses but FE, it sells and so will the 1.3L Palio.
