iraghava,
i think my tyres are mounted properly in the right direction,
there are markings on the tyre for the direction to roll and the arrows are pointing forward, not backward so im sure they are proper. Anyway, here are some pics > Direction Marking & Front Right Tyre Tread.

Thanks for the concern

Dude, crumple zone's parts which absorb a good amount of impact and deform or break apart, im sure you know that.
My point is, a crumple zone is still tough, will not crumple like a ping pong ball, as such a low speed, if it does it's not of any use!?!
I guess that the new bumpers are made of soft plastic...
there is a difference b/w an ikon's bumper and an Escort's bumper, The escort's bumper has stuff in it which can actually absorb impact and the ikon's bumper just a plate of plastic....I guess the new car's bumpers are made that way to save weight and production cost.
Then again, the Astra's build is tank quality!

Xehaust - My apologies, from a distance (in the earlier pics) it looked like your tyres were Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D2's & hence my comment on them being mounted the wrong way round. However, these pictures show that the tyres are from another company (Nexen or something maybe) and so might be mounted in the correct direction.

iraghava - No need to apologise ya, you were just trying to help me out, so wats the apology for id say there should be more people who help out, but then again, id also say we need more indians who take that help by thinking of it as help and not trying to be shown down or something, you know the typical mentality:

Helpful Guy - "Sir, your car is not parked properly, it could get damaged"
Car Owner - "Do you think im stupid, ill remove it later" rather than "Thank you for pointing that out, ill park it properly so that it causes less inconvenience to others and also saves my car from damage."

Anyway, the tyres are from the company Roadstone.
