Also when he said new hub caps, everyone knows that if any face lift happens it happens for all the models and only the ZXi has alloys so the LXi, VXi, VDi, LDi will get new wheel caps.

I have a doubt if MSIL is planning to freshen up it's line up every year with some minor changes. It's a practise many japanese car manufacturers follow including Suzuki.

I am sure the change will be welcomed well. But the grill??? I think the current face is too good to be changed for a while!
Otherwise, it was time they introduced some more features in ZXI variant according to the customer feedback.

Remember how TATA changed the looks of the Indicam to distinguish it from the Indigo front end design?

May be, Maruti wants slight changes to the front of the Swift to distinguish it from the Swift sedan coming soon.

Doesn't the grill look Indica-like now? Looks like Suzuki hired a few designers from Tata. The grill is looking really ugly IMO.

Just spoken to someone at Maruti. There will be no change in Front end for Swift hatch, rear will have clear tail lamps.

New grill will make entry on sedan version with all the goodies like integrated music system and on steering controls etc.

Guys,

Have you checked out the Swift Vdi 2008? My friend had booked in December and he got a call today for Swift Vdi 2008 ready for delivery. Prices have been increased by 9000/-.

And the guys at maruti say that some modifications and additions are done on 2008 model. I would be going today to check them out. I would post the details soon.

If you have some inputs/updates let me know.
