Car body styles in Indian Roads

Not sure, if this section is the right thread to Post, Mods..please move it ot the right section.
I just wanted to see the differnet Car body types available across the world, and found this section in Wikipedia. Hope everyone would like to know the terms. Car body style - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

But I do not think we have all the styles available in india, eg. Coupe. anybody can list what are all the types we have in our roads?

1. Hatchback
2. SUV
3. Van
4...?

Here are the additions to the list:
4:4x4(4WD): safari/gypsy/mahindra jeeps/force gurkha etc.,.
5:Hardtop: gypsy/jeeps coming with fibre roofing
6:convertibles: mercedes convertibles available in india
7:Estate car: Tata Estate,indigo marina,fiat adventure etc.,.
8:Leisure activity vehicle: Omni
9:Minibus: lots of examples-latest being tata winger.
8:Minivan: Maruti Versa is classic example
9:Muscle car: HM Contessa
10:Notchback: Hyundai accent viva, and recently indigo CS
11:Pickup truck: Tata 207, bolero camper,armada camper,converted gypsies
12:saloon/sedan: lots of cars c and upper segment ones.

what is the difference between notchback and sedan? I thought accent is a sedan.

Notchback is characterized by a sharp vertical drop-off from roof to the trunk, as opposed to hatchback. - (again)wikipedia. :-)
I hope sedan is with full length Trunk.

A noch back is a salon car with the boot opening starting from the roof .it also has a full boot but for a different kind of opening.classic examples are accent viva and accent gle.

San storm is not a convertible. Its whats called a softtop/rag top.

Also add the chinkara to this list. The chinkara is under open wheeled roadster

Accent GLE is not a notchback. its a sedan. only the Viva CRDI is a notchback
Also notable ones are the Skoda, Laura, etc.

yes, Octavia is a notchback.

IndigoCS would not qualify as a notchback, but should be called a sedan.

I think we missed "Coupe'". They generally are 2-door cars. I am saying generally because Merc CLS is a 4 door car, but is called a coupe because of its body design.

Our own india version of a coupe would be the limited edition Zen Carbon ( not sure if people remember them )

Others (you may also call them sports coupe's) would be the Merc SLK, CLK, SL500, BMW 6 series, BMW M3, BMW M6, MINI, Peugot 206 etc etc.

The Skoda Octavia is a notch back...

And another surprise addition to the notch back-DZIRE.The brochure mentions it as notch back.I am surprised to see this information though.
