SCOOP! Tata making Airbags/ABS standard across the model range, at nominal price!

I think airbags are 100% covered by Indian insurers but plastics (e.g relevant dashboard portion for passenger-side airbag) which are destroyed/damaged during deployment are at 50%.

Maybe one of the TBHP experts can advise?

50% on the airbags and 50% on plastic, so if work is carried on for 1L, then you pay 50k

I dont think Indians want ABS/Airbags as standard, do they Its very few who are safety minded, very very few.

I'm sure if they can make a whole car for 1 lakh rupees then they can definitely provide ABS and airbags for 15 K. Looks like Tata are trying to put every other car maker out of business. The goodies just keep coming form Tata Motors. First, Nano, then new stunning looking Indica, new look sporty Indigo CS, born again Sumo grande and now this. I'm sure Tata are giving other car makers sleepless nights. Other car makers just have to gollow suit. If Tatas can still make profit from all this then it proves without doubt that other car makers were taking us for royal ride.
