Maruti Suzuki ups car prices - Team-BHP

Maruti Suzuki India has hiked its car prices in the range of Rs 1000 to Rs 11,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is effective across all cities and is applicable to most of its models.

The company has raised price of its flagship car Maruti 800 by Rs 1000, Alto by Rs 2,500. Price of WagonR and Zen Estilo have been increased Rs 3,500 and Rs 2,000 respectively.

SX4, the latest car from Maruti Suzuki’s stable saw a price hike by Rs 11,000.

In early January, it increased Swift prices by Rs 6,000-12,000 (VXi by Rs 6,000, ZXi by Rs 12,000, LDi by Rs 6,000 and VDi by Rs 9,500).

. These guys are taking the customers for a ride. Such a steep hike will do no good. If you add the taxes+ to it, the increase will be anywhere between 15K~20K.

They should have done this. I just feel they should use this extra money to up the quality they are offering.

MSIL have just gone too far with cost cutting and it really shows in their products.
