Boy Boy. Too many things happening today. 3 Launches!

Replacing DI is very bold move. Here are CRDE figures:
Engine Type: 2523 CC m2DiCR Engine
Maximum Power: 46.3 kW @ 3200rpm = 62.09BHP
Maximum Torque: 195 NM @ 1400-2200RPM

1. DI engine was proven, frugal, easy to maintain.
2. DI was much suited to its target customer. CRDe will give higher cruising speeds and refinement. Certainly average bolero customer never considers these parameters while deciding on Bolero.
3. Mainly SLE/SLX + DI was accouting 60% of its sells. Mahindra have played unexpected here.
4. DI is still available with model "DI" & PLUS. So now you can not have DI engined bolero with AC & PS.

The New Bolero looks pretty slick. I like!!

Love the shade of brown that's on the website. Nice interiors too. And check out the slick instrument console... Seems like a nice job Mahindra.

But no 4x4. WAT??

The pix of the new Bolero look good but M&M has to pinch us by down grading the motor. I run a peted crde which will leave the competetion ( scorps, innovas etc) behind. Management of M&M pls continue the 97bhp model

Ah looks neat! I like the new bumper, the honeycomb, the reduced toothy grin, Maxxis tyres!?! I think they have done something about the OVRMs and the gear knob.

I would still love the good old gauges! 4WD would be nice. Overall, like it.

Engine options are a different matter altogether I suppose!

Any new colors? like the limited edition dark purple?

pic of dash on their website indicates existence of 4X4 and ABS.

Currently none of the variant offers 4x4 & ABS. I think those lights are for future variants.

Out of Topic: If some one wants to say it in THAR language
"New Bolero is 4x4 & ABS ready"

Ach! Yet another let down by Tack(y) Mahindra!

First they Tharpedoed my aspirations for a new jeep with their abominable quality and missing HT/AC. And now this, this Bolero facelift. What do they add? Ah, the rear wash and wipe. Yep, that is exactly what we got, a rear wash and wipe!

These folks may be laughing their way to the bank, but not at my expense! Now back to lurk mode on T-BHP till the next launch.

This new model has decent looks, but still Rear demister which was talked about much as an addition is missing, secondly the A/C still does not have mode control, thirdly power window switches still on the centre console is a big flaw and lastly horn switch is now located only on the centre of the steering wheel will be a practical drawback.

The instrument cluster shows ABS and 4WD, but do remember that these were also present in the post 2006 SLX DI Turbo models, but never came to the market.

The engine immobilizer, remote fuel unlock and the redesigned bumper. Love it.

The 65 hp engine. BAD.

If they bring in a 80+ hp engine, this could very well be my next tin box.

It is not even 65 bhp it is 62 bhp ( 1 hp == 746 watts )
In-fact power is slightly less than the older engine.
However it has slightly more peak torque and a flatter torque curve so should be nicer to drive.

Atlast its got a rear wash and wipe. A must for a car this size and the terrain it is used in.

. What is the point of making is CRDe when there isn't any significant power jump? Only a smoother drive and better emission?
M&M could have done much better.

PS:Torque comes in at a much lower rpm,it will feel good to drive in city.

I feel the VFM proposition of Bolero seems to be fading off. Taxi segment in rural areas will be reluctant to buy the CRDe but can't have PS and AC with DI.

That's a good thing for us current DI owners. It means our resale value will hold even better whenever we decide to sell our Boleros off.
