Dzire pricing would be tricky,CS will get the advantage in the diesel version only.I feel people wont mind spending extra on a much more refined and decent diesel. In that scenario we got a winner here.Exciting isnt it,

Its says "Swift Dezire", with Dezire just beneath "Swift" and above that huge chrome line.

Launch date extended-thank the budget. It should be end march ,probably march 26.Pricing will be competitive but never less than the indigo cs.We can expect a difference of 20-30 k fron the cs.

Ram, how is delay explained by pricing issues due to budget. MSIL must have worked on a price which should stay as the policies for Dzire's category of car is unaffected by it.

Is it that they are reworking the prices on the lower side to compete with Indigo CS.

You can see, I was impatiently waiting for Mar 6 release.

Huh! I was kinda expecting to at least see the vehicle before deciding if I'd plunk for the SX4 or Sumo Grande. The wait is killing. Guess, I'll just have to make up my mind and move on.

Sold my Tata Indica DLS at Dec-2007 end and the wait's been painful. First it was the wait for Sumo Grande (supposed to be launched in first week of Feb). Dezire came up next - first week of Mar. Good thing the launch date has moved. Can at least help me in making up my mind

On a general note, how is the Dezire expected to be different from Sx4, apart from the 200mm or so diff in length and marginal increase in internal size, boot ?

What will make the difference of approx 2Lacs between top end of Dezire and Sx4 (zxi) sensible ? Any idea ?

The prospect of Dezire zxi is appealing enough, assuming features are on par with Sx4 zxi (photo also shows - music control on wheel, there was mention of abs/ebd & airbags, climate control, etc), but the wait can be painful if launch is delayed and then delivery gets even more delayed.

Would love to get a peek of the vehicle so as to help in making up my mind !

Now even Swift ZXi comes with the features you have mentioned. So, it should be there in the DZIRE too.

Ram, why delay due to budget? Swift DZIRE wouldnt qualify for small car norms, right?

Also, 20-30k difference from CS? After the budegt, CS should start around 3.6L (ex-show, before it was 3.79). Even swift petrol is having 20-30k difference over CS!

Indigo CS prices are slashed by 8-12k. Indigo CS petrol will now be available from 3.7 lacs approx. You mean to say that Dzire will start from 4 lacs !!
That is same as Swift hatch I guess.
