ram

How about the leg room space in the rear seat. Is it same as swift or improved like it is in sedans like indigo/logan?

I missed to note earlier that the newspaper edition of The Hindu has quoted 26-Mar as launch date.

The web edition also says the same now.

Hi Ram,
Any news on pricing. The news i had earlier indicated that the price would be between 6-7 k. But a lot many news sites today are claiming ex-showroom price of petrol to be around Rs 4.5 lakh while the diesel model to be around Rs 5.2 lakh.

Although i don't think any of it is an official confirmation.

I paid advance for Vxi just a couple of days back and surprisingly I was told I can take the delivery in a weeks time. Should I wait for DZire to be released?...is there a chance for Maruti to drop the prices of Swift hatchback? Should I wait for a week more?

You are lucky. I had booked my vxi in Jan end. I am expecting delivery only in April 1st week!!! Wait for the Dzire. If you can shell out around 1 lac more you can get a Dzire Vxi, We have to wait and see how MSIL prices the Dzire.
I dont see much drop in prices for Swift Vxi. Already post budget prices of Swift DDIS is down by almost Rs. 17,000 approx.
