Good job there. Hope all the state MVD's follow this initiative.

A large number of people are complaining of not getting details for their vehicles on the site. Are you following the correct procedure?

1. Go to the site,
2. Select the concerned RTO office where the vehicle is registered (eg. Mattancherry SRTO, Attingal RTO, etc).
3. Go to Vehicle Details, and on the dropdown manu which you get while hovering over the "Vehicle Details", click on "Registration Details". Enter the vehicle registration number in the box.

Remember that as recently as two years back, some numbers in KL-07 were allotted from Mattancherry, SRTO, NOT Ernakulam. This holds true for all RTOs. There will be quite a few KL08 registrations in Wadakkancherry, somany KL13s from Thalassery, etc.

Again, a KL07 vehicle registered in Ernakulam may not be found here, IF it has been transferred to some other jurisdiction. I can find that the site holds details of a sold (and later condemned / dismantled) KRF registration, vehicle but not of a KLE registration one. But the transfer details of a KEE registration vehicle has been updated.

BTW, One of the old vehicle owned by a relative is listed as a "Splenter", manufactured by HH Motors. It is a two wheeler. Any clue what variant it is??

Heard they have touch screen kiosk's to check these at various RTO office from sometime back.

Sorry am deviating from rules. This question is about by IND Suzuki bike rather than car. My dad had bought this bike from his friend (a bank manager) as we were not getting delivery of it (in late 80s). The bike is still registered in Kerala (CRX.... number plate) and now RC is expired..so lying in garage in Goa... Can't see it rust in our garage. Need help in renewing the RC. Are there agents who can do that? What is required? Please help.

Got a lot of uses. Can be misused also.

Ya, Misuse is always there. Especially with some Team-BHP folks suggestions of going and pouring paint on the bonnet of car's because they wrongly parked n stuff. Now they can do this whenever they are free as they have the contact address.

@DarshamS, CRX is Karnataka registration, afaict. Kerala registrations start with K.

One thing i want to ask you ,2003 i sold our Honda city but it is still under my dad's name.What should i do?

Guess you should contact the guy who bought your car.
