I remember seeing advts of both Fiat Bravo and Brava around 11-12 years back.

Edit: Just did a google and found that they are similar looking compact cars. Bravo is hatch and Brava is sedan.

Absolutely right Jerish. The old 90's Bravo platform had three variants similar to the cars built on our 178 Palio platform. The 3 door hatch was Bravo, the five door sedan was called the Brava, and the station wagon was called the Marea. Surprisingly, I have seen the Marea a couple of times in Mumbai. Looks quite similar to the Siena Weekend.

The Bravo series was then replaced by the Stilo 3 door hatch, Stilo 5 door hatch and the Stilo Multiwagon estate. The 3 door and 5 door hatches were built on two separate platform. Unfortunately the cars bombed in the market due to unreliable electricals and the fact they were supposedly lacking in "Italian Flair". And in no way did the Stilo resemble the old Bravo.

So Fiat decided to replace the Stilo with the much loved 'Bravo' once again .The new generation Bravo is a five door hatch and not a three door, and it wont be built with 3 doors. I chose the Bravo because it looks stunning, and because I think it looks more like an Alfa Romeo than a Fiat. Realistically though, I would settle for a nice red or blue GP Sporting.

Respected FIAT lovers viz. our great friends Ravi ji (Super select), Behram ji, Gogi Bhraji. Today I saw this Dukkar Fiat near my office at Andheri, I requested this owner to stop the car and started taking photos with my cell, he was very proud about it.
I am not a genious in Fiat identity but take as a gift from your IQBAL VEERJI.( Thats my Tigress aka ALTO K10 behind this dukkar Fiat.)

More details about the car originalty can be detected by our FIAT gurus.
Regards.......

My Vote: FIAT Linea, having driven it around 600 Kms in a stretch although i dont own one..!!

1. Gorgeous exterior design, timeless i say.
2. Acceptable Performance from the MJD, Tjet is in a different league altogether.
3. Excellent FE from the MJD, for a car of this size and weight.
4. Exemplary Ride & Handling.
5. Steering is a drivers delight, precision perfected

Well, 500 is absolutely out of budget, Bravo if launch, will be out of budget as well though I lilke to have it anydays. I am not a very big fan of Sedans, so my vote goes to gorgeous Putno.

In my previous stint in UK. I have driven Bravo 1.9 for over 800 miles and was simply bowled over by its performance.
Since then I have been waiting for the 1.9 MJD to be offered in Linea.
So I'll pick bravo (if launched) or Linea (if offered with 1.9) anytime in future.

I have a T-Jet and my first car was a 1973 President, but my all-time favorite is the 1969 Dukkar in pigeon excreta color (not sure what it was - a cross between Pista green and chocolate brown).

My vote:

Red Palio GTX :-)
Punto

I like Linea but from some angle it looks bit out of proportion!
