Yes the base model is the one I saw. But as per the sales guy the features will be same only cosmetic. One sporty and one luxury.

The audio controls are placed in the rear seat armrest for the rear passengers. They won't keep it on the steering wheel as well.

According me that's a good choice. The driver still has the audio controls well within arms reach whereas the rear benchers always tell the driver to change. This make it easier.

In india where these cars will eventually be chauffeured, rear seat controls will make sense. But if you ask me i love the way it works from the steering.

I notice that it even has front parking sensors. I couldnt help but notice that the bumpers, while looking racy, also look like aftermarket kits.

Nice overall package though.

The rear benchers could be provided with a remote control, and the driver gets the steering mounted control. That's the way to go,IMO.

(I am assuming that rear armrest mounted and steering mounted controls cannot be provided simultaneously.)

Aditya - If that's cramped then I'm sure that the Laura has unusable rear seats!! It's got more space than the last-gen Accord & that had HUGE amounts of space for its segment!!

Visually, yes it looks under-tyred. But that's mainly because it's been designed to look good on 17/18" rims which are standard in other markets. Please don't take it literally & start an unnecessary debate.

In the US they have two models in the 2.4L category and are fitted with the following tyres:
P215/60 R16 94H and P225/50 R17 93V for the premier models including the V6

the base variant available here in uae has steering mounted audio controls + cruise control.
the access from the rear seat to the trunk is a pretty new feature....
the coupe variant though produces 197hp from the same 2.4 block...

Master-class pricing by Honda! Hard to call it that, but this is sheer VFM. I am really getting tempted now.

Not sure why but the Accord has always been sheer value compared to the rest of the Honda lineup. At those prices, its an incredible deal. Makes the Camry and Passat look extremely overpriced.

I agree.

And if 3 are seated at the rear, the audio controls are now behind the back!!! What the hell...

Camry was always in trouble from Day 1 and will continue to remain that way until Toyota localizes it. Currently Audi (only wrt A4) does not stand a chance as far as sales go against the 3 and C. Its only wait and watch post they launch the new A4.
