Wagon R, older model. It has a horrible gearbox and equally disappointing handling.

Ford Figo Petrol !

During the Ford safety training meet . Just didnt like it .I remember asking Amitoj and others inside the car if they wanted to drive it.

The TD guy had said this particular car need tuning thats why it wasnt driving well .But then,I would expect a car in the best condition when it is being evaluated for a buy decision !

No offence to any Figo petrol owners .This is my personal opinion .

Another vehicle ,that I didnt like at all was the Scorpio .

I have driven the following vehicles - Ambassador, Maruti 800, Scorpio, Opel Astra, Hyundai Accent, Honda City 1.5 iVtec, Fiat Linea, Hyundai Verna (08), and Chevy Spark.

Of the above except the first three vehicles, all the others I have driven extensively.

So here is my ranking,

Chevy Spark<Hyundai Accent<Hyundai Verna = Honda City< Opel Astra < Fiat Linea.

Why I rank Linea better is because I have done umpteen number of highway trips (Guruvayoor - Coimbatore) approx 150 Kms one way. When ever I take Linea I feel more comfortable doing triple digit speed than City or others.

The cars which we own/ed in the above list are Ambassador, Opel Astra, Honda City and Chevy Spark.

OT - Just booked Hyundai Verna 1.6 SX for my sister as far as the reviews go, I think the new Verna will be ranked between Chevy Spark and Hyundai Accent in my ranking.

It was the previous gen Ford Taurus! Got that from a rental in us. I was never comfortable with the car and eventually got into an accident while taking a right turn at around 40 mph. The car was probably too long for me!!! I always feared taking any tunes in that monster.

For me it would be
1. Subaru Justy (outside India) - this is a car that looks identical to the M800
2. Tata Sumo - gave me a good workout. If a SUV is out of scope, then it would have to be an Ambassador MIII

OMG How did I miss it. The worst driven vehicle by me is a poorly maintained Hindustan Trekker, the vehicle in which I learned the basics of driving.

The steering was having a 45degree play on either side, the gear lever will come to the same position no matter which gear you slot it in and last but not the least the brakes, you have to literally stand on the brakes to bring it to a stop. I still remember one of my friend after driving through a puddle of water, he wanted to slow down on a down hill, he literally stood on the brake to slow the vehicle.

As a true T-BHPian i loved most of the cars i have driven in some way. I have driven many cars till now like M800, Van, Swift, Dzire, Indigo, Santro, Ford Escort, Sumo, Trax, Nano, Fiat 1100, Zen, i20, i10, Eeco, Honda City 1st gen, etc. All cars are not excellent but i enjoyed almost all of them. Every car has its own positives.

I have not driven any of the costly cars like BMW, Audi, Merc etc but i am sure i will enjoy them too Hope that day will come soon when i will own one of them & ride it proudly !

My two worst cars that I have driven in last 5-6 years both come from the TATA stable.

1. Tata Indigo Marina : 6 yrs back was looking for a diesel wagon for touring and ended up driving the Indigo Marina, for a while I thought that I had not engaged the gear because the car refused to move, then I realised it was in 1st gear but the pickup was so sluggish that it just refused to move and that time I used to drive a scorpio.

2. Recently I drove a brand new Nano, the fit and finish is non existent and the handling, braking, steering control was just horrible felt like I was trying to drive an autorickshaw.

Tata Safari is for me... I felt it was nothing more than a boat.
Note that I drove it inside the company campus with speed not more than 20-30 kmph LOL! ..
Also, the 2 years old car was sounding from every place like a rusted iron

Updates to my earlier contessa and used safari add-ons:
Hyundai i10 due to the suspension - feel scared to go at speed as it bounces
Lincoln Towncar - VERY soft suspension, too much body roll, lethargic engine

Its AMBY diesel for me, very akwardly positioned pedals, heavy clutch, sluggish engine, this coming from a Guy who owns a padmini.

It has to be the Maruti Omni for me. Very scared to drive one and exceed 30kmph. Even at such low speeds, I felt as if there were no brakes.
