The captiva is not coming with a "DSG" box..it is coming with a normal 5 speed auto box...

wish they had the DSG! and the Captiva automatic will be a 7seater.

Default 135bhp

The April issue of AutoCar India ( ACI ) mentions that the diesel CRV will have 134bhp.

Anyone has a clue on the timeframe of the release of this model? Looking at the pictures, there seems to be no attempt to camouflage the model, so is it closer to announcement date. Can anyone comment on the colour of the number plates and the registration code to indicate if it is a CBU/CKD or is it got to a ARAI stage?

Default White on Red.

All I know is that, if the number plate is White on Red, the car is being tested.

For Honda to be selling a exceptinally refined diesel 5 seater SUV at 22 lacs and still missing high end features like:

4 X 4
Auto Transmission
Sun Roof
Traction Control
Multiple CD Changer
Premium Audio System (like Outlander's RF)
Leather Upholstry

Hmmmmm. I dont get this. Also I hear Hyundai is rethinking its strategy whether to launch SANTA FE or not, which is quite sad.

Assumption 1: Diesel CRV price is 22 lakhs (somebody had a dream few days back)
Assumption 2: Diesel CRV misses high end features (again somebody dreamt about this too).
Since all your subsequent deductions are based on this 2 assumptions, they are invalid.

gameonrwind, I had shot these pics after following the car for some distance as it appeared odd looking to me. I took pics only after the vehicle had been parked. To see the difference, just see the pics again & you will see the i-CTDi badging on the rear windscreen.

The engine appeared quiet silent at idle, not petrol silent, but pretty low noise.

Tentative launch is in Aug 08 and so far no news about a diesel outlander being planned. So got to buy it only if petrol engine is acceptable.
