Not really, considering the huge turbos and therefore the huge turbo lag. It would be a pain to drive in bumper to bumper traffic.

Well, I couldn't sleep properly (at night) the day I saw this thread (Evo at 22L!!!). I think the first think I thought or said the next morning was "Evo X"

Default Good Change !!

Although I am very negative about the driving conditions of sports cars on indian roads in the current condition, launch of EVO X will defenitely attract lot of auto engine lovers in its pure sense.

I had the pleasure of experiencing the sheer power of EVO VII on one of my shopping trips from Muscat to Dubai (normally 5 hours drive, we finished in 3.45 hours flat). Throughout the trip, I was feeling light on my bums but a thrusting pressure to my backbone, as if someone was trying to push me behind with the seats. Its a different feel of power I am sure.

Average speed on 80% of the whole Oman roads is 110 kmph (1st track) legally ! In india we can touch that figure only on highways. So, if I own the EVO X, either I have to take highway drives whenever I want to feel the engine. Or keep it covered in the parking for people to enjoy its exterior beauty.

Some quotes from a review: At the international level, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X costs $30,473 (Rs 12 lakh) and $32,697 (Rs 13 lakh), for different variants. However, since the car will be imported in India, the total price, after adding duties, will come up to somewhere around Rs 21.70 to 23.5 lakh. With this price band, the automobile is expected to be come in direct competition with other cars like Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Skoda Superb, Volkswagen Passat, Nissan Teana and Audi A4.

i recall reading in ( i think TG ) where they showcased 2 variants of the CIVIC, the hybrid and the typer R.
the latter was if i recall correctly rated at 225hp and i dont think that is TC. and pricing was mentioned at around 20 lakhs...
now which is a better option ( not that I am sitting with that kind of cash and ready to buy one !! ) - a non TC CIVIC with probably "better" service back up or full blown modded car like the EVO10 which is probably could fail because of service not being equipped to handle such advanced cars...

secondly, would it be cheaper for MITSU to bring the EVO9 ? if so , even thats a great deal bcos IMHO, i like the EVO9 looks and performance wise, its up there...
