I think that the Chevrolet Beat is basically based on Suzuki Cervo.
Just observe both the cars. It will be very close match.

I think that its nothing but a redadged Suzuki Cervo. So poor Suzuki, it cant sell Cervo any more unless priced very less than Beat ( Matiz/Spark ).

Actually the postition of suzuki is very bad in this. FIAT sold its diesel engine technology to various manufacturers to get money to survive.
The next generation of engines from FIAT, to be called MULTIAIR wont be sold to other manufacturers because now FIAT is in very sound position.

Suzuki is now dominated by GM.

the Opel/Vauxhall Vectra will be replaced in july by the all new Opel Insignia.

IMHO

Nishanth and Karan might be right, the piece looks more like new Civic and the Jazz. The A Pillar of the Beat has got a different angle than the one shown in the picture.

PS: Such refreshing Designs from Chevy is sure welcome

Hope they get the new Camaro to India Soon.

Doesn't look like a chevy beat.It will be the face lifted spark or matiz with a minor change in the front grill and the bumper.The rest all is same as that of the current spark sold in India.

this is not the spark facelift but the chassis of the beat is tested under a modified spark body to fool spy photographers.(test mule)

These pics were caught near death valley, california.

The hood looks like it has been raised by a few inches to accomodate a bigger engine.
By the way can anyone throw light on the exhaust pipe, it looks as if they are testing the emission levels of the car...

Europe now has law that cars must have 10cm gap between the engine and hood, so this factor must also have played a role along with bigger engine for the raised hood.

Only the front end has been disguised. The sides, specially the window kink looks exactly Spark, and not Beat!
