Okay, here goes..

Silverado.

Nov'07. Bangalore. Safari EX. 4x2
11500kms on the clock.
Stock car with stock ICE. Aux ipod interface.
3M Steel50 and Llumar AIR75 sunfilm.
Philips Crystal Vision 55/60 4300k H4
Likes variety in its diet and drinks either IOC premium or a cocktail of regular+systemD.


Likes:
- Wonderful highway cruising. Driving long distance is a pleasure.
- Wonderful view of things around. can see things which were not visible from my earlier car. People look upto you when you're in the car ;-)
- Oodles of space.
- My better half likes all the attention she gets when driving it !

Dislikes:
- creaks and rattles here and there when on bad roads.
- front Left window packed up at about 10,000 kms.
- Am not getting the often quoted 12-14kpl. FE sticks to 10kpl incity and 12 on highways.

Hi Pavan, very rare and nice to see a Red SUV. Seen many Safari's in the usual white, black and silver colors. Have you considered getting the grey body cladding painted to match the body color? Dont know how it might look though. Just curious.

Thanks Aditya,

Yes its one of the few Safari Dicors in Red.

This color was discontinued after a fire at the factory paint shop.

You hardly get to see this color on a Safari.

Gave a thought on getting the claddings painted red, but somehow this combi looks a killer and hence retained it.

Pavan, you're lucky to own a rare colour. And yes, in my opinion the contrast cladding is much more appealing than body coloured.
In Delhi I have not seen a single one in this red.

yes,mine is a 2.2 dicor
A/c is good and the FE may be due to my driving style.But,Iam using always the premium diesel.Yet to try normal diesel + system D
