Thats true. Even I am surprised. They are opening a bunk at malleshpalya. I am surprised, as SHELL used to be on out side city roads.

Is this the one on Vignan Nagar-Basavanagar Main road which you are talking about?
Me, too never expected that to be a Shell, but with the crude rising, I donot know if they can maintain same pricing as PSU bunks, and the volumes which they can maintain...

Shell is trying to switch people from regular petrol to the premium one. Earlier it used to be 44.95 & 49.95 respectively, since about a month or so its 45.95 & 48.95. I don't think its got anything to do with the crude oil prices. If Shell is feeling the pinch of crude oil prices they would have not kept Diesel prices at the prevailing levels.

Strangely the government wants to increase the petrol prices by Rs.2 and reduce diesel prices by 30 paisa. Looks like the government feels only the rich drive petrol vehicles.

Just Tanked up at Shell Somajiguda, Hyderabad.
Cost of unleaded petrol - 49.10 INR.

With a FE of 10.5 with AC and a heavy foot, I am now in a state of shock! I HAVE to stop enjoying the FFE! Seems like tough times are ahead for petrol heads!

P.S: This price is effective from today as per the inputs from the guys there!

Not sure for how long the prices will be held by Shell as crude oil prices are hovering around $70 per barrel. Any up move from this level, I am sure that Shell will revise its prices.

One major new attraction in Shell bunks now-a-days is the Ferrari merchandise. Last time when I tanked up there, there was an offer of Six miniature Ferrari models, extremely good quality cars made by Mattel toys in China, for a mere Rs.100 each. Didn't lose one chance to let go of that offer, hope to see many more such merchandise in future, as told by the bunk attendant.

Yeah, usually they tell you when you fill up. Sir price has increased by so much. I came to know while filling up I saw the meter and it read 46.95 so had to ask.

I hope this is not an upward trend.

I saw the Shell prices have risen by 20p. Any idea whats the scene on Shell Super? I got super filled last time. The attendant promised more mileage. On the contrary, I got lesser mileage on super than regular Unleaded.
255 kms on regular (Rs.1000/-).
210 Kms for Super (Rs.1000/-)- My car went for servicing in this period, so could that explain the lower mileage? Service center is 30 kms away from my place.

Yes it could if your service centre uses petrol for cleaning certain car parts !

Saw few Reliance pumps on highways, but they had all shut down. Have they restarted?

the same thing happened to me. Mileage came back to normal with BP Regular. I felt it was a quality issue. The car did not quite feel the same.
Anybody else with a similar experience?

Default Prices Up

Today i happened to cross a Shell bunk @ Chrompet, and noticed the prices have gone up!!!

Super Unleaded - Rs. 50.85
Unleaded - Rs. 48.95
Diesel - Rs. 34.45

I also noticed that the bunks are no longer crowded. Looks like the shell bunks would cut down on staff once again.

Mods: May be it is time that the title of this thread is changed.
