Upto 17 kmpl on highway after the first service (1000KM). In city my ZDI gives around 12. (Always AC on).

Well the mileage is almost as good as Swift's . because a minor change in the weight of the body. Expect mileages upto 15 kmpl but not in the initial stages

Did you buy the vehicle only for mileage or is it just a query? Anyways, it may give around 16kmpl inside city with a/c and on highways, you cn expect around 18~20 kmpl with a/c.

Mileage greatly depends on your driving style, the kind of roads you travel on and traffic that you encounter.

My Swift VDi is about 20 days old and has given me a FE of 18.3 and 21.3 on last two tank-ups. These figures are before the first service and with 80%AC. I have also upsized my tyres to 195/60/R15.

I do a daily round trip of about 70Kms to my office and back, I encounter very less traffic in the morning but high traffic in the evening.

So I feel that the mileage really depends on several things, but dont worry regarding FE, this car wont disappoint you.

Cheers

Fuel Efficiency depends on more than one thing. Your right foot is the most important part here and it plays an unbelievable role. Plus the traffic conditions also can make a lot of difference.

Sometimes fuel effeciency can be very high and beyond imagination. My friends Swfit diesel ( not Dzire ) gave him 22 kmpl with 5 adults and luggage and A/C on full time.
Reason : His father drove the car and he never crossed 80 except touching 90 for overtaking.

I drive a Swift DZire VDi.
Before first service i got around 14kmpl.
After 1000 Kms, it was around 16.
I just filled up my tank yesterday and recorded 18.8 kmpl with 2500 KMS on ODO.
70% of running is on highways with a/c always on.
I expect around 20-22 on highways after 5000KMS/2nd service.

I never took my RPM above 2200, and 5th gear at speed of 40.
Touching MAX of 80 on highways with a few exceptions now and then.
