SCOOP : New MUV Testing. EDIT : PICS in post no.11! - Team-BHP

On my way back from work today evening at around 6, saw this rather oddly covered car with MH TC plates..
The car also had a tiny sticker that said Initial testing.

It was fully covered up, front grills covered, alloy logos covered up very well they did a damn good job in covering this baby up. Took a peek inside when I got a bit close, it had a digital Speedo!

I wanted to take a pic of this but I was a tad too slow and there was too much traffic missed the chance.
I saw this over Mekhri circle. Anyone else catch a glimpse of this ?

This was a huge car, SUV for sure. My doubt is if it was a Scorpio or something else? Anyone else got a clue?

could be the Ingenio from Mahindra
I saw this MUV like vehicle last weekend in koramangala on the way to Bosch
it s a known fact that the ingenio is under testing now and scheduled to launch later this year in competition to the innova and tavera as a people carrier.
i think what you saw could be the same thing- see the ingenio thread on this site and compare what you saw with the photos already published on this site.

Digital Speedo?? Now that is interesting. But it could have been a part of the testing equipment.

I doubt if Scorpio is undergoing a facelift. It should be the Ingenio ! Digital Speedo! Very interesting. Hope we get it !

Possibly this is neither a Scorpio or an Ingenio - but something entirely new that few of us have seen thus far. Given that the eye witness terms this as "Huge" - it could actually be the new upmarket SUV that Mahindra intends to launch for 2009.

this Digital Speedo thing is new for us here but there were a novelty in the US back in the early 90's when Chrysler minivans had it..

nice to see Mahindra making an suv for the US and we will benefit more from it becasue the quality levels would be much better then to what we get here.

I'm not able to figure out as to which car this is.
the badges were all covered.
it had temporary MH plates.
