Great looking Scorpio - have to hand it to that shade / paint colour which looks cool on SUVs.
thats a nice idea, but i never drink and drive, infact i dont drink!

Thanks Raj and everyone else

This thread was a bit overdue
After I think most TBHPians have a passion for their cars and it is nice to be able to share pictures - one never knows, one may pick up a tip or two on accessorization/ functionality etc like Anup has regularly been sharing with me on mail.

Thanks again and lets have a blast with the Scorps!!

Cheerio
Shankar

i have seen your scorp in other threads too and must say, i never felt a base model scorp can look this good. the alloys and front guard look cool. and if you remember, i even asked you the details of this guard in some thread. i am planning to get them fitted in my scorp too...

Anup: Love that MISTY PIC! Is your Scorp Mist Silver? Wanted to check one thing - do you feel that this Scorp 4WD towhook is sufficient in strength, compared with the other traditional Mahindra "Heavy Duty" Towhook which comes in the Army Jeeps?
Zenopio: Your Scorp looks lovely in Dark Green - just like a typical jungle car should! I love that colour and desperately tried all the stunts in the book to get myself one in the Lx version but the Mahindra chaps were absolutely adamant that this colour now comes only in the top end variants! My old Bolero was that same colour Turf Green.

All the best guys

Thanks, Stable rock.
I ought to have mentioned earlier, this trip was July 1-17, 2007. Enjoyed it hugely, also because we'd gone from the Srinagar side and had no serious AMS issues. The return from Manali side (the spectacular road journey) was then enjoyed in full!

That misty place was somewhere before Kud, on the Udhampur-Srinagar route.
As for the 'tow-hook', it is not 'industrial' specification, in that it has no latch. Strength appears to be adequate as it is bolted on (the bolts should be TIGHT before any attempt at towing! Otherwise the threads will simply get stripped) directly to the chasis.
And anyway I do not believe that the Scorpio is meant to do any serious towing!

Badboy- Your older scorp with those alloys looks great. I think they shouldnt have gone over the top on their fiddling with design as in the new scorps - the older ones had more character! Also the tyres jut out just a bit - i find the same on my scorp.
can you tell me what is the width of your alloys? Mine are about 6.5inch.
cheers!

Mathur saab, you know what, that's where this beast should be. buying it and just driving it in city is an insult of this machine .

You are putting it on right use. BTW when is the next trip to ladakh ?
