the liana would be the best to watch out for keeping performance and price in mind.
otherwise the fabia is also a goos car waiting to make its debut

I also heard the New Accent are based on the lines of the NHC.. it has loads of space as well.. and the height has also be increased..
suzuki Liana is subjected to replace the Esteem/Baleno
New Octavia will arrive at a higher price then the older one and the older one will continue to sell..
BMW 3 series getting homologated since 2 years GOD knows when it will be here
NHC Vtec should have been here by around December but Honda has waved off plans i guess to get it here as its making way for the CIVIC
Toyota Vios wont be comming this year :***: AS confirmed by toyota dealer to me
Rumours are that Lancer turbo has already been launched..

I'm waiting for the following...

NHC Vtec - Honda needs a real replacement for the old VTEC.
Skoda Fabia - The TDI PD could really shake up the B+ and C segments.
New Octavia - The old Octy is still selling well, but Skoda really should offer the latest products in India, a la Hyundai.
Toyota Fortuner - I don't really know this segment, but I suppose a new small SUV is always good.
Suzuki Swift - YES, YES, YES! Especially the 1.3 JTD!
BMW 3 series - Can't afford it, and it would be an uphill battle for BMW to make headway against an entrenched Mercedes, but, bring it on, baby!
New Sonata - Yes! Did I mention that I saw one of these two weekends ago on the way from Chennai to Pondicherry for a friends marriage! Looked really sleek and contemporary!
Honda CIVIC - The C+ segment is getting crowded, but yeah, bring it on!
New Accent - Needed, the old Accent is really long in the teeth now.

I'm not really waiting for the following....
Toyota Vios - Not sure of this one. What is it?
Lancer Turbo
Suzuki Liana
Safari 3.0 CRDi - Not a chance! Tata needs to replace the Safari with a more contemporary model.

The fabia by a long way-it has
1.a super diesel engine-the one in seen the octy
2.the all important 'diesel option'.
3.super FE
4.good looks
5.space
6.a good badge(skoda has been able to build a good reputation in india )
and most importantly a good down to earth price(expected) from skoda

Thumbs up

A poll would have been better to track the popularity. My vote goes all out to the Fortuner, with the Telcoline a close second..

Suzuki Swift. For me, it's the most relevant among the ones mentioned in your list.
Fat chance, I'll be buying a new Lancer / BMW.
