hey lamborghini,

every car mag typically quotes sales figures of cars in their issues every month. this latest figure is from the mag autocar professional...

to be more specific -
Jan 2005 palio 204 units
Jan 2005 petra 145 units

don't have the specific sales nos for dec2004 - but the total sales of fiat was apprx 200 units (150+50)

wow, looking up a wee bit eh? hehehe

Feedback on Anuroop:

-They show that they are willing to give all the info but actually don't give out much.

- Their accessories guy is pathetic...I had to shout at him from getting me the quote for alloys

- So ultimately I end up buying only alloys and anti rust from them as it was in lieu of 15K worth of accessories.

Feedback on Petra 1.6:

- Actually it was my own first car, but I have started to love it. It has got a aura of its own and even on roads people make it a point to look at the car. May be because they are not much on the roads.

- I got the tyres changed to 185/60 14". Exchange price for F1 185/65 I was getting was 500/- per tyre on the link road. Since it looked so cheap I backed off and got Accelre 185/60....800/tyre.

- For music system...I got HU as Pioneer 4650, JBL Speakers GTO REAR and Blaupunkt fronts.

When I start the engine I hear a very distinct sound along with engine sound...like fan wings are brushing against something. Will take it to Anurrop some day.

- The plastic on one of the rear window is broken which I saw when I reached home after taking the delivery.

Otherwise the CAR is terriffic, better than anything else I drove for test ride. Ofcourse in the same category.

Manu

Wow! How's that? Anuroop is quoting 5.36L less 30K which works out to be 5.06L.

And could you expand on your evaluation of Anuroop?

The posts on team-bhp have convinced me to go fo a Petra Petrol. I'm thinking of buying my second car in the next 3 months time frame. A Black Petra is what i'm looking forward to.

Some questions :
1. what's the on road price in Pune?
2. how much discount should i haggle for?
3. Do i need to get wider tyres? I do need to be on the mumbai-pune expressway once in a month.
4. any other accessories that you can recommend.

Do try and get your Petra soon. We can start a Petra clique over here. I think RX135 hould be able to help you with the information you require. BTW, the price on road in Mumbai after discount (I am taking finance) works out to less than 5 lakhs ( I am not adding the interest here). In Pune it should be lower. And the prices are going to rise by 8-10k in April.

Hey raj,
for your first 2 questions as cream.
The price in mumbai is 5.06 inclusiv of discount.
If you can, try to upgrade the tyres to something more grippy and more importantly tubeless.
other acc - a good deck
fog lights
and if you want, artificial leather.

I have been hearing about your brother from Anuroop whenever I call up. And I got to know that you gave your car in for servicing yesterday.

I have booked the car. Hazel Grey Petra 1.6 EL (petrol). I heard your brother liked Hazel Grey too. I am waiting for the loan application to get approved.

And cream ..... Good show! Fiat and Anuroop will love you.
