A single unit or a pair will cost 45K ?

The cost of fog lamps is Rs. 16406/- and this nears 16.5 K.

After knowing the spare parts' price, how do reasonable people buy the Fabia?

It says Rs. 3xxx for a set of four. This is on the higher side. Octavia hub caps were Rs. 400 each IIRC.

But, on a lighter note,
Skoda Fabia fogs cost 16k. Daylight robbery na? Civic fogs cost 15k. Hmmm

vRS alloys (16") cost Rs. 84xx each. Thieving b^%$#@&* right? Magnum alloys (15") cost Rs. 104xx each.

I'm outta here

Went to skoda showroom to check out the car. Was told that there are no discounts. And i asked if they give complementary mud flaps and mattings they told us that they cannot give since it costs 6000/-.

We walked out of the show room with out even bothering to ask any further questions or test drive.

Whats the cost of a basic design aura 14" alloy set of 5?

I think one will be able to get decent alloys in 3000 per wheel... or am I living in a dream world?

And you know what. The same wheel cover made by the same company could be in the outside company for 500rs
Certain Bosch parts which Skoda sells for 55K are available for 18K in open market WITH BILL and WARRANTY

I'm Surprised that the OHC wheelcaps cost so much, last time i checked with the dealer, NHC wheelcaps cost <1000.

I know, the Bosch FIP you are talking about, right? In fact Skoda won't even tell you the part number and if you find out and suggest that you procure it from outside (same OEM part) and they fix it up for you they will cry blue murder.

It is. I had my original wheel caps lying on the garage all these years after I switched to alloys, after hearing the rates, I took them out, cleaned it up and stored them somewhere safe

I did hear that most of the parts prices have been reduced when the NHC was launched. Unfortunately, whatever parts that are exclusive for the older cars, they still remain high-priced.

That said, how many people really bother to check the accessory or even the basic part (air filter, windshield wiper, hub-cups, floor mats, etc) prices before they buy a car? Not many, I would say....
