| While driving back home from work, I bumped into a reasonably sized pot hole. The fabia handled it pretty well, much better than my city and I had no reason to suspect that all was not well. The next morning, I see that the wheel/hub cap of the front right wheel was missing. Most probably it flew off when I hit the pothole. The caps are just latched on, unlike a lot of other cars where they are held by the bolts. Now for the more interesting part. A single plastic wheel cap (Skoda OEM) will set you back by 2300/- :(, so be careful. |

How else would you describe the same. I shudder at the thought of what would they charge if anything happens to ORVM which is the most common casualty (atleast here in Pune) to most of the cars. take care and drive safely

| Senior - BHPian | This sure pinches a lot. The plastic wheel cap wouldn't have costed more than Rs.50 approx (Bae price). If we include the manufacturer's profit and his o/h + taxes on the part, skoda would have got it within Rs.75/- and they are charging a whopping Rs.2300. No doubt there are not many takers due to this kind of pricing of spares. The same goes with many other companies...

![]() Well, in cost of two such OEM alloys you get set of 5 from aftermarket. Since, these after market alloys are equally competent so fabia owner must not go for OEM alloys. Happy pricing! and great skoada bills !

| Senior - BHPian | A set of suzuki 13" wheel caps in my esteem cost me 1000/- & they were sitting firmly without bolts for 3 years before i changed to alloys. This is ridiculous.
