This was expected. But LPG is the big shocker. Will hit the weaker sections again.
OT, will the fuel prices ever cool down? Or will OPEC exercise its muscle to control production, keeping demand high, thus ensuring that more dollars flow into the middle east?

Although the price hike was expected, the LPG increase is a shocker. will heat the weaker sections again. Is there any chance of oil prices cooling down? Or will OPEC flex its muscles to ensure that the demand stays high and more petro-dollars flow into the middle east.
I completely agree tsk1979. But will the oil companies and the auto companies allow alternate fuels to emerge, as it will sound the death knell for them?

I commend the idea of restricting subsidized LPG cylinders to 8 per year. this will prevent misuse

I just brimmed my bike yesterday with 17 litres of fuel . Good timing I guess...

Speed used to cost 56 in B'lore. Now, it might go upto 63 or so.

Damn! Yet another one. The hike on petrol is quite steep. The wise men are those who bought diesel vehicles.

Good decision. It was long due. No matter what hue and cry may follow, it was due to help the IOC, HP & BPCL survive.
