I don't have the 45.28/lit receipt as I submitted in my company but petrol pump guys says it is same from long time and as per him I was wrong.
I always fill the petrol from that bunk(HSR layout NIFT road)
Is petrol pump guy fooling me !!

I read in today's HT that ATF is cheaper then normal diesel! Maybe we should all head to the nearest airport.

ATF Rs.27.xx

diesel Rs.36.xx

I guess it is because ATF has had many price-cuts ever since the international crude price went down.

Sure, that's a good idea.

Next question, how about the money to invest in an aircraft?

Actually you could drive to the ATF fuelling station in your Viva-D itself. Did a bit of googling about ATF being used in cars and it seems while it is a no-no for petrol cars, diesel cars would run with ATF. And planes can run on diesel too it seems.
Ofcourse neither is recommended as each of these is designed with a particular fuel in mind.

With ATF so cheap I think its time to finally invest in that personal jet and begin my adventures around the globe. Or maybe if someone comes up with ATF kit to be installed in cars that would be great now

Cool Wonder what using ATF as fuel feels like?

The next time you start your vehicle, and you notice that it starts really well, like a jet engine, chances are that you already are using ATF. Some petrol pumps mix ATF (diverted from your nearest airfield) into fuel on account of the large price differential !

Prices of speed from BP have reduced. I remember reading that HC or SC had sent notice to fuel cos that they don't have scientific proofs to establish that premium (branded) fuel improve fuel efficiency or engine performance. So the cos were asked to reduce the prices. The BP petrol pump near Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai has a BP banner saying prices reduced by almost 1.25 Rupees.

Have not seen this at other petrol pumps though.

Petrol price to increase again!!!

Quote:
"At current crude rates, oil companies incur a loss on petrol sales but make marginal profit on diesel. So, if pricing is freed, petrol price will go up by Rs 1.99 a litre while diesel rates will come down by Rs 0.32 a litre," he said.

It is but natural with crude above $60 a barrel. Also, there is a move to decontrol the prices. Both are highly desirable. Also, they must do away with the subsidy on Kerosene (better fuel for all of us!), and LPG (no issues of cylinder diversion). If necessary food stamps can be isued to the BPL folks. Come to think of it why not do away with the entire PDS and replace with food stamps.
