| Hi Guys, While coming from the office today spotted a cool new Sedan. It looked like Chevy Cruze from rear. Exterior:- Looks stunning, Great road presence, It was similar in size with old Honda Accord, Cool alloys (Multi spoke), Very Chunky and Masculine looking Interior:- Large Clocks, Nice clean dash with Cockpit like switches (resemblence Honda Civic), Dash charcoal grey and Interior Beige Leather (Even a Kid can tell, what Indians in Interior like) Engine:- It sounded to me like a diesel, Though it was very smooth and silent for a diesel but it had more sound than petrol machine Doubts:- Though from tail lamps and presence it looked like Chevy but they are few questions which are popping in my mind 1. It had Noida Registration, Honda Manufactures car there 2. The no. plate had smilarities with Honda testing no. plates 3. Interiors looked quite similar to the Civic 4. Size similar to the old Accord 5. Two Chinkas were sitting inside, what were they doing in American machine ![]() ![]() ![]() Mods:- If required, watermark the pics Folks:- Kindly bear for the quality, taken from mobile and were also starring Last edited by Mpower : 14th July 2010 at 02:00. |

| This looks like the European Accord, if I'm not mistaken. Could be one, as it's UP registered and Honda's plant is in Noida. I heard that Honda are testing their i-DTEC Diesel for the Accord and CRV. |

| That is definitely not the Cruze. If i am not wrong that is most certainly a Honda. (That Red UP16 plate is what Honda uses on its test car.) Lets hear what others have to say.... Last edited by girishg : 25th September 2008 at 00:52. |

| Senior - BHPian | Damn!! That is the European Accord aka the Acura TSX! What a catch!! Now the bigger question is, what is it doing here?? Are they going to launch it here??? *Rubbing hands in glee!!!* Maybe with a nice engine & price 2L below the Accord?? *drool drool*! Last edited by iraghava : 25th September 2008 at 01:01. |

Being premium they can't position it lower, and being smaller in size they can't position it higher than the current Accord. | |

| Senior - BHPian | Damn, it looks great! No wonder it's from Acura though. They created the Civic design as well. But I doubt they would launch it here. I believe they can import cars without duty for engine tests. The TSX might be sporting a diesel which, after testing, they'll then offer on the Accord/Civic/City here. Damn shame though. I would've loved to see these on Indian roads. Maybe they can do a real Accord Sports variant? Nah, wishful thinking. Last edited by ImmortalZ : 25th September 2008 at 01:22. |

| Honda is already planning on launching the Acura brand globally rather than confining it to the US. These plans were announced when the NSX prototype was revealed in one of the European shows in 07. Are they thinking on similar lines in India, I dont think interior space will be much of an issue compared to the 3 series or the C class, these were Honda's benchmarks anyways. But I think the priority should be to bring in the superb i CTDI to India and start their diesel onslaught in the upper segments. Or even better plonk it in the Civic like in Europe, a 2.2 ltr. Civic diesel Sport anyone? |

| Team-BHP Support ![]() | I guess this is their only option to satisfy desi's thirst for a diesel Honda. Can we expect premium pricing in the range of a PassatD. In the USA, the Acura TSX 4cyl sells for more than the AccordV6 in spite of being smaller. Come again please? Last edited by Mpower : 25th September 2008 at 04:49. |
