Fine,
the only reason i can see aboutgetting a VIANO is the seating but even then isn't 50L just too much for a car with standard interiors and all?
I just find spending 50L on the van a dumb idea and i am sure you all will agree with me.

yes 50Lakh is crazy for a van, then again for 7 star hotels it makes a difference when they mention Mercedes Van for transport it makes a lot of difference......

But I posted my reply to make the difference in the cars that were mentioned with Viano.

BUT,
considering that most people in 7star hotels will be foriegners owning good cars, i am sure they will know the plight of MB quality.
The car i saw had Goodyear Eagle NCT5 tyres for crying out loud.

Are you sure about that? an article i read said that the ssangyongs istanas were based on the mercedes mb140s. I think they used to sell for around 14 lakhs or somthing though im not sure. I think they were made in India. Kent cars in Sakinaka has a quite a few MB140s in their workshop.

Hey guys, Hotels buy imported cars at 5% import duty (as against 110% for us) under the EPCG (Export Promotion Capital Goods) scheme. So the viano would cost only about 25 Lakhs for the tourist and hotel companies. Infact cars like the Camry is available for 11 Lakhs!!!
