Nothing was mentioned in the website about the refinement in handling / suspension / passenger comfort. So let us assume that the only major change is the engine.

Pricing is way OTT.
Mahindra seems to have gone nuts!
Lower variants with archiac engines should be discontinued & CRDI prices brought down, then only I can see sufficient sales.

I dont believe they have gone nuts. They are just trying to be a bit greedy here. I believe, over time (perhaps in a year or so), they will offer the mHawk across all scorpio variants and move the 2.6CRDE to all models of Bolero. Remember mHawk was offered only in the vls initially....

Which engine is this. The one from the Type1 Scorpio was 2.6 Crde. Have the CRDfied the 2.5 Peugeot engine?

Bolero owners should be sad. The resale value of their machines will drop now.

Well, i have the new (2007) version. They did try to solve it with some additional flaps on the front bumper corners. But it STILL splashes!

Then again, i'm not sure whether its because of the negative offset of my alloys.

:(

@Torqy Thanks buddy. Thats one problem as you feel like just zipping on small puddles but when you know that they can cause temp blindness and also can get scratches on your windscreen it makes better sense prevail.

So is anyone going for a TD soon?

Is this Naturally Aspirated version of the Scorpio's inter-cooled heart ?

Much needed change,

now the covered hinge doors means less ruggedness and more fineese? isnt exposed hinges add glamor to the meaner machines?

With each upgrade M&M seem to be driving the Bolero higher and higher up the food chain. At some point it is bound to cannibalize not only Scorpio but also Ingenio sales to a lesser extent when introduced.

Also fail to understand why the CRDe engine commands such a premium over the XD3PU engine. It is definitely not a new engine. So development costs would have been recovered. One might have imagined that M&M would have achieved economies of scale with this engine, thereby lowering input costs and passing on the same to the customer!

I don't think so since the Scorpio engine is 2.6 liters. Since it is very unlikely that they would go through the cost of developing an all new engine. My guess is that it is a CRDe version of the XD3P engine which is also 2.5 liters. Same as the CRDe bolero.

I am also disappointed at not seeing a 4x4 version of this.

i was happy to hear about the new engine in bolero.

but its a bigger disapointment to hear how expensive it is and it doesnt even come with alloy wheels or tubeless tyres.

only cosmetic changes in the bolero.

some serious changes are needed in M&M, whoever designs these vehicles, equip them, launches them, market them....all of them have gone NUTS!!

Overall I think the Sumo Grande is probably better value than this.
