This car was revealed to the international market a couple of months ago.
Launch date in europe is Jan 2009.

It will be a very over crowded Skoda showroom not necessarily with humans with the Indian car company's having a penchant of selling the older version alonside the new version. I am just imagining the situation of the sales rep having to expain to the customers the virtues of the 1st,2nd and 3rd generation Octavia.

See the site for more details which mentions octavia (laura in india) and new octavia. And i know what i have mentioned in the other thread. That was for his info if he wants to wait for this car to be sold in india.

So you mean to say- this car which is a facelifted europeon Octavia(facelifted version of Current Laura) will be positioned below the Laura replacing Octavia(In India).

1) IMHO, In the hope that Skoda will launch it here.

2) The PQ35 is also called A5 and the Audi A3 is also based on A5 i.e. PQ35 platform.

3) Doesnt look like to me that this is based on MK VI golf. There is not news on new Jetta yet.
