Jasi, Bangalore usually has hours more of power cuts than Kerala. You're living in luxury, mate!

Can a Reva really do a practical 120 KMPH with the current suspension and design aggregates?

For the time being lets ignore the power and safety be damned...lol

Looks like a very suave food trolley to me... DC is a moron, who has no idea about desing... I've seen this Santro that was 'done up' by him... All it had was chunks of meat on it, along with standars skirts you can fit anywhere, and DC written all over it.. flat out UGLY... I asked the owner what it cost him... 1 1/2 LAKH for that piece of sh*t... and an Indica too... horrible...

Yeah, cues are from the MCC Smart.. but then again, there is only so much you can do, as RTech pointed out... somewow, it looks like it could fit under my bed... :-)

Think Dc would have upgraded the suspension a bit too. But frankly IMHO it'll start selling in masses as fuel prices start going up. I for on would definitely buy one to go down to the shopping mall or for he stationery shop. It makes much more sense than a petrol or diesel car but i would never take it out on a road like the ring roads. One KPN volvo bus overtaking it at 90 kmph would throw tne car into the ditch...

do yuo think its gonna make it to india? highly unlikely i guess.

Well, it weighs 875Kgs which is like 90% of Baleno. I guess it can make that speed.

Most of the Rev'a weight comes from the batteries.. The rest of it can be carried in a shopping bag .. I was scared of overtaking one for blowing it off Hosur road.

On the running cost, are you guys considering the battery replacement cost.. i am told that they need replacement every 2 years and cost 1.5-2L to replace.. any inputs on this?

1.5 to 2L??? I heard that the batteries would be much more cheaper if the government were to abolish the duties or give some concession atleast.

Not sure if the price is that high. I remember the pric being somewhere in the region of 50-75k only.

How many people would want to spend 50-75 K even on a car every two years? This is why it will not make mass production. Tax concessions should be de riguer for eco-friendly vehicles.

As proven, the hybrid is the way to go. You cannot radically change over to electric only - a switch over to hybrid and once batteries are more efficient/ use of solar energy can we even think of electric cars. We did it for computers
