My 2011 Ford Endeavour 3LT 4X4 Automatic clocked 1Lac KMs this weekend. Love my Endy, the build quality is solid, no creaking sounds or rattles anywhere, the interior has held on its sheen and whenever I take her out on highways & rough roads I always have a smile on my face. It has just been the regular servicing at every 10K plus the normal wear & tear parts replacements - tyres, battery & break pads plus the minor dents and touchup for the inevitable scratches.

I was thinking of upgrading, but decided that the new Endy does the meet MY requirements, here are is a post that I did on the other thread: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...ml#post3907441 (Preview: Ford Endeavour)

My '92 used Ambassador Nova diesel had 143000 on odometer when bought in '96. I used it for 283000 km and sold it in 2010. That totals to 426000 km.

It was 3 years old and was pulling strongly with 7 on board.

My yesterday's Uber ride was an old beat-up Indica with 329,890 kms on the odo! The car was far from presentable with not-so-clean exteriors. As expected, the engine was super gruff and noisy but there weren't any vibes on starting from standstill or even during hard acceleration.

The most surprising thing was the suspension though. Absolutely no squeaks or rattles! The road leading up to my society has bolted speed bumps which easily unsettle the likes of Dzire. However, Indica simply cruised over these with driver didn't even bothering to slow down much. What a fantastic suspension!!

Congratulations!

Could you please share the Fuel Efficiency numbers as Civic AT is notorious in that aspect, now many of them are available in used car market at mouth watering prices, I wish to know the exact numbers for AT before taking a plunge or recommending others.

Civic has a Jekyll & Hyde character when it comes to FE and in engine-power.

I have got upto 18+ kmpl on 4-lane roads with careful driving (w/o using brakes, steady speed at around 75 kmpl, etc).

I have meticulously maintained fuel records in a spread-sheet of every filling in these 10 years (I always fill full-tank), here are some data:

FE for whole Lifetime is 12.2 kmpl.

Year-wise breakup:
Year - Kms - FE in kmpl
1 - 23,567 - 10.5
2 - 18,537 - 12.0
3 - 21,240 - 13.4
4 - 22,974 - 13.5
5 - 22,630 - 13.3
6 - 19,205 - 13.3
7 - 4,380 - 10.6
8 - 8,394 - 10.5
9 - 9,480 - 11.4
10 - 10,153 - 11.3

Fortunately for me a lot of driving was on highways, with also lots of hill climbing (umpteen times to Ooty).
Used in congested cities, I assume FE will be poor though.

Came across a feed this morning about an owner 'celebrating' 500000 miles (approx 8 lakh+ kms) on his Chevy Silverado.

One thing I've realised about high mileage cabs and even long distance trucks is that the owners drivers maintain tyre, suspension, brakes, powertrain, etc metculously, and are least bothered about body and accessories.

That's some serious mileage on the cars. I joined the forum pretty late in 2017 and can't resist replying to this post.

I wonder what's the status now after long 12 years.
