2. Same car, same variant - but Indian "edition" has far less features.

And I may add - some features are not even available in India, at any price.
Does this apply to car makers like BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Volkswagen ?

People and the Car Company still feels that ABS and the AirBag is luxary. Even tubeless tyre is not popular/compulsary in our country. We have tough time in fixing tubeless tyre...

Isn't it Accent, not Ascent? A friend of mine who owns one even

Yes, M&M is the best example. They never care about Airbags especially. I hope only one vehicle of their has ABS, and I do not think there is anyone in the company who ever thought about Airbags in their cars. Shame!

Honda City is the best example of how Honda is following Indian buyer without offering alloy wheels.

To start with....

Hyundai:
Verna is supposed to be the facelift of Ascent. And both the cars exist in this market in different segments.

Verna (7-9 Lac) & Ascent (5-7 Lac).

If it were a facelift across the globe, do we need to pay an premium when the world is not? On top of it Verna is featureless (sorry I say it always).. should we pay 2 Lacs as only for its engine? No doubt its the best engine.. but...

Skoda:
Same -- Octavia & Laura. Laura supposed to be an facelift to Octavia. Look at the price gap... Octavia (10-12L) and Laura (14-17L). Laura again has host of features.. but @ 40% expensive.
Few others in this line are.

Fiesta and iKon
Sumo and (Sumo) Grande
India and Vista
mHawk/vlx and Slx

Well honda & skoda is well know for fooling us.

I remeber Octavia was once sold 14-15 lacs, & now it is available for 11-12 lacs. How can we forget the horrible *** of Skoda?

Also, the Honda this time, i think reached the height of fooling people, by giving literally Maruti 800 interiors to Such an expensive car..

Also many other features are missing.

I've heard many people pronounce it as 'Ascent'. The correct way to pronounce it is 'Aksent' , not 'Ayksent'.
