2) If there is no reference of a place in Chennai, next best would be if someone can tell me where.which website will tell me the exact part number so I can get the part from Dubai
Thanks in advance
If your A.S.S is quoting so much(for whatever issue), the only option is to go to service centers like myTVS , Carnation etc and get the job done under your supervision. You can definetly get is cheaper.

If it is some complex electronics or sensitive stuff, always go to the A.S.S Only, even if its expensive.

Please check the brand. I hope someone is not selling you Chinese parts. DMF is manufactured only by a few companies. Most notable is Valero. The clutch is not worth the risk given the fact that the engine is a torquey one, better to get it done at an Asc

Ok, let me get back to you by the day after tomorrow since the market is closed today and tomorrow.
Also, I agree with greatmana that it is advisable to get complex parts replaced at the ASC than outside. I'll get you a cheaper quote from here.
Send me copy of the estimate given by the ASC at Madras.

Thanks, however so far there is no quote formally taken, they have said it would be 56K.

Also is it possible to help with exact part number.

If you could kindly help with details like, better quote, where to get it done in Chennai or Bangalore where in authenticity isnt a issue and quality work.

thanks again

+1 on that. Although I'm a big fan of Carnation types for my Optra, Civic and Lancer, I highly recommend NOT going to Carnation types for electronics on Skodas and VWs. The complexity of these cars is such that even some dealers dont understand them fully -- I would think that a third party's comfort level will be even lower.

I know that Skoda and VW A.S.S is not really the gold standard, but please stick to their authorized centers for any major work. If / when something else goes wrong with your car in the future, they'll always blame the 3rd party.

This is not so much of a concern in the cars that I do take to Carnation -- they're mostly mech machines - not mechatronic machines like Skoda / VW.
