Did you guys consider the resale value of the estilo? In this department, alto wins hands down. Atleast in bangalore.

When my family bought an Estilo i held my breath a bit, but after driving the car, i say go for it. I think it is that ghastly purple-pink color option that turned a lot of people off. It is a nice car to drive , even on the highway. Surprise!.

[quote=akroy;1179579]It was purely my opinion. I know no car is launched in the market to cater for genders anyway.

Estilo all the way. Spacious and more powerful engine. Lastly, this is a steal for that price.

O.T. : For me Honda CRV latest gen is a ladies targeted SUV, as I see more and more lady drivers driving it. Also those tough square designs gave way to curvy looks in this latest gen CRV which looks more like a feminine taste, for me. Thats the only reason I avoided that.

We have an Alto at home, and i agree with what a lot of others have already mentioned with respect to the power loss with the A/C turned on and so on. However, i wouldnt agree with the boot space being minimal. It can easily accomodate a medium trolley bag, as well as a couple of travel bags, which we realized a few days back.

In comparison, i totally detest the looks of the Estilo, and was stunned when two of my close relatives ended up getting themselves Estilos. With the initial apprehansion aside, i began to realize the greater boot and interior space which it offerred over the Alto.

Considering how satisfied my relatives are with their purchase, i believe the Estilo is a decent proposition, looks aside. As for us, the Alto seemed to fit our needs better, and so the decision was made.

Spark seems a better bet than both at the price point mentioned though between the two zen estilo though poorly designed is two design itterations more modern than the Alto.

+1 to that. I wouldn't want to be seen dead in an estillo

My pick Spark any day, next comes Alto. Alto is well planted on the road even at 80+kmph. going above 100kmph in any Maruti small to medium sized cars is risky because of bad build quality and not so good braking ability. I onwed and tested so i am making this statement.

Spark has very good ride, better space and more comfy interiors and comes with very good price point now.

About in highway Alto with Ac on won't make much diferance, one can manage highway driving except while crossing city and traffic it looses the power very much with AC on.

In congested City driving ALto with Ac on means drive in 1st gear.

About Spark I have not travelled in it in highway but based on small travel experience I can tell its very good small car, I simply love it I couldnot find pre owned Spark of my taste so settled for Alto LXI.

I don't want to comment about Estilo.

Ravi.

Among Marutis, Alto. If spark is also under consideration, then spark it would be.

Thats strange back in 2005 I paid 3.3x for my Alto LXi & in 2008 my Cousin bought Spark PS model for roughly the same amount.

Anyways guys this is not a thread for Spakr so lets keep out Spark & reply only for Estilo Vs Alto
