| Senior - BHPian | @ ashpalio: buddy, this is not the aria for reasons mentioned by mooza as well as other distinct features between both the cars. also, look at the interior pics shown below, they are very much different. Also look at the second pic, the rain sensors in the test mule is on top of the windscreen in a similar manner as in the scorpio. so this should be a mahindra. the pic of Aria posted by you does not have this. Also, have a look at the wipers. Aria has the new Civic type wiper movement whereas the mahindra has the traditional wipers. the most easily distinguishing factor is the ORVMs. Aria has the wing type mirrors on the door like in the civic, spark, etc whereas here again mahindra has the normal ORVMs. Last edited by raj_5004 : 7th September 2010 at 14:05. |

| Yeah, the steering is different , the fabrics are different, and the overall product is way too unfinished to be Aria which is in a very advanced stage at the moment. you can refer to our member , Flying spurs's post about his drive of the Aria. If you ask me I dont see even a wee bit similarity between the Pics of the SUV and Aria. |

| Senior - BHPian | the interior looks like Aria but the exterior is not resembling aria. Since aria is going to be priced between 10-14 L this rich interior car can be Aria |

| Guys that is not an Aria, inside or outside and its really obvious how different the interiors look. Also, that is not what the interiors of a (rumoured) 14 lac car should look like, well at least for now. It should be a huge improvement by the time it goes on sale. Mahindra should do something about the huge expanse of cheap looking plastic in the centre console. |

| I guess one can say that M&M likes the way Aria interiors have been done and are trying to copy it but frankly it looks tacky and shoddy, I hope they end their experiment here itself. The black and silver with some wood trimmings will do the job, its just that the plastic quality should be such that it looks classy. Just look at the Santa Fe interior pics posted on pg 52. | Doesn't look Aria from any angle to me. Ive had the opportunity to be in an Aria and the interiors are a lot more closer to actualy production vehicle than this pre-prod model. No way this is interiors of a vehicle which is going to be introduced over the next quarter (Hopefully!). Anyways, the debate is pretty unproductive given people who have lived in a M&M vehicle for years have clearly stated this is from M&M stable ! |

| This surely is a method to keep buzz among the market and see how the market reacts to the vehicle. Quite a deliberate attempt to leverage market emotions for evaluating the test vehicle. Because, generally, no OEM permits its test vehicles to be parked in public areas especially residential areas. In this case, M&M is a company that is tight lipped about its products & never really reveal anything before launch. In a way it keeps the brand name in the public as there have been no new launches after Xylo for quite sometime (don't add Gio / Maxximo as they are commercial vehicles). |

| Now as Santa Fe and Murano coming to our shores , i bet Mahindra will be planning to gallop this SUV out of their stable prety soon. But these pics indicate there is still a long way to go. @ ajithbc .. is ur current location still at Bangalore ? then was this mule seen testing at Bangalore ? then there would be a thousand more BHPians who would have spotted it.. wonder if we can get some more pics.. |

I feel, Mahindra is yet to do lots on the interiors once the testing is done. Quote:
True, cant be ARIA, Even the camoed Aria had better plastics in the interiors, If this is the World SUV from Mahindra, it's not what people were waiting for. ![]() Maybe its a prototype, but have'nt we seen the Aria prototype...? Must be a facelifted Xylo for sure. Last edited by PAVAN KADAM : 9th September 2010 at 15:22.

with you that The interiors may not be upto the mark, but, these will only be better in the final product from what we have now. If we try to analyse Mahindra's lineage, their products' interiors have little to boast about, but there is something else that draws people like you to buy one. I reckon these will be better Scorpio & Xylo when launched, there ought to be more features than in Scorpio to justify the price.I feel that it will be more successful than the Aria, because of true blue SUV looks, rather than people's mover as in case of Aria.
