Basically, Captiva has been dominating that area. We need options.
A Very decent car with all safety features and accessories with decent quality at VFM price , which gives more miles per gallon of diesel and less costs on maintenance.
Isn't that what we are looking at ?

The April issue of "What Car?" says that the W201 is expected at a price of about 12-13 lacs. They've put up a "rendition" picture of the W201 along with the snippet.
There is no doubt the rendition looks quite tough and purposeful etc. But how near or far is it from the real thing? Wonder what will finally come out. Whether its going to be a "pegasus" or a humble "mule" is yet to be seen. Everything looks extremely speculative at the moment.

I just called up one of the SA frm M&M dealership here in Bangalore with whom am in touch for my next buy, he told that there is a new launch on 14th of this mnth. He told that top end would be priced at 18L and base model is priced at 13+L.

He also told that Sangyong is being launched in the month of May or June 1st week, however he was not sure about the prices.

The latest from the FB fan page of Mahindra W201 is that it will be launched in next two months with a price tag of 15-17 Lacs.So the count down begins.

I had been to Sireesh Auto some time back. What I got to hear is that the first release would be the 5-Seater version of Xylo in a couple of months.
Did not get any details about W201.

Just read on @anandmahindra's time line on twitter. He is confirming to some one that the world SUV is going to be launched soon. How soon, he doesn't say. But my experience is that he doesn't say things, unless they are going to happen, so I am assuming its coming up on in a month or so.

The vehicle is undergoing NVH testing at the moment & has some turbo related issue which is delaying the launch.
