Just great! seems like skoda is all planning something new.
What exactly is this clearance sale? Is it the 2008 manufactured cars?
In that case it would take over a month to clear the stock and not 4 days.
OR
Is it clearing present model manufactured and bring in face lifted one?

How true is this source of information ?

From production numbers of Skoda for 12/08 and 1/09, it seems that many (if not all) are 2009 production.

What are the conditions??? Can't sell for 10 years and must get service from Skoda only??

But why these offer in Pune only??

Maybe the dealers want to get rid of all stocks?

Maybe Skoda is planning new dealers in that region?

Any offers from SKODA will be considered only if they give unconditional replacement warranty and minimum 5 years of free maintenance. Typically ZERO maintenance package atleast for 5 years. Otherwise, even if one gets the car free, but will endup paying for atleast twice the car price during its maintenance, since their spare prices are at such peak rates.

For example, if you assemble a Skoda car by buying the spares it will easily cross INR 50 lacs. Even a notable dealer here, buys new cars for spares. I heard this, but I am not sure of it whehter its true or not.

Looks like they are not able to sell any cars these days.
Or Linea has affected all these cars???

We are almost approaching end of February and its surprising Skoda still has 2008 cars on offer.
With these prices how much is the total discount coming to ?

It's not only Skoda, even Honda has 2008 stock lying even of the Civic.

Laura at 12 Lakhs seems like a good deal, but what is the "conditions apply?"

I have emailed the 3 dealers in Pune for details. Let's see what they come up with.

Checked here and, they say they have no such offer, at best it could be a localised phenomenon restricted to Pune.

The whole thing though seems suspect as it is in a local daily in the local language. If the announcement is true, then it might be the dealer selling his "test vehicles". If that be the case, the discount is not much considering the normal price of an Octy - Rider and Laura - Ambiente and we all know that the test cars are thrashed by all comers, even the ones who have no intention of buying but are there only for the kicks.

The 9.45 lakhs offer is for the Octavia Petrol base model. The sales guy said the discounts come to around 50K for the Octy and 90K for the Laura.

Very Soon we may hear, "Buy a Superb and get a Fabia for your Wife Free for 4 days only" conditions apply naturally. To liquidate Superb stocks before the new superb launch!. Surely they have hired someone from BigBazaar or Reliance.

Is this discount available for top model of Laura L&K. If yes then what could be the final price. Any help will be much appreciated sine once of my acquaintance is planning to buy one.
