Why are Punto wipers so high up on the windshield at rest? Surely they could be designed to go a little further down into the base of the windshield. Is the Linea the same in this? It's not just this car posted by roms. I have seen other pics with the same set up.

I didn't like the interior. Looks quiet boring. In fact the exterior also doesn't looks 2 good looking.

The Punto is indeed a looker. But I am not sure whether our market is ready for an "expensive" hatch.
i20 - by far the most recent of "expensive" hatches is in the 4.8-6 range and Linea petrol is in the 6-7 lakhs range

so can FIAT price the PUNTO at 1.2 lakhs cheaper than the LINEA with the same engines ? I doubt it

but it would be a good product to have to draw the crowds into the showroom in which case, FIAT should be ready with some affordable models like new PALIO and maybe another small car also

I find the interiors better than the LINEA , because of the black color,
Exteriors are superb as well.

The interiors look quite nice. I would prefer a black color anyday and this is to my liking

Its mostly standard for LHD European cars. Japanese and British cars have fuel tank opening on the left.

Also, there is a bit of a difference between the interiors of the Linea and GP. The top portion of the dashboard above the instrument cluster extends all the way to the top of the a/c vents in the Linea (similar to the Palio actually), whereas the same is missing in the GP. Plus, the small storage area above the a/c vents for keeping the idol/phone etc in the Linea is missing in the GP. The dials in the instrument cluster are different as well. Have a look -

How recent are these pics? The GP sure looks hot in red . The fit and finish looks great as well, atleast in the pics

Question

There sure is quite a lot of activity happening in the FIAT stable, with the number of 'sightings' of the Grande Punto. Hope it gets launched soon .

I think the GP will be launched sooner than June - after all, they won't want the Jazz to steal all the limelight in June. Infact, it might be also possible that they might want to go one up on Honda and launch the GP at a killer pricing after the Jazz launch in June/July - that would surely create the buzz for the GP the way it has for the Linea.

So basically what everyone is saying is we do not have any insight on the launch dates as yet.

A friend of mine got a reply from Fiat "Ceodesk" regarding launch date and color options and tells me the following:

1. The GP is due for launch "very shortly". They're 'working on the launch now' as per the mail.
2. "Solid red" color will not be available
3. Pearl White and Azure Blue will be 2 of the color options to be launched
